Your mission
The Head of Sales Development is a leadership role responsible for building, leading, and scaling a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). This position acts as both a strategic architect and a hands-on coach, driving pipeline generation, lead qualification, and revenue growth. As the bridge between marketing and sales, you will ensure that lead generation and qualification efforts are aligned, optimized, and consistently deliver high-quality opportunities to the sales team.
Your profile
Key Responsibilities 

  • Team Leadership & Coaching 
    •  Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SDRs, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new SDRs, ensuring they are equipped for success. 
    • Conduct regular 1:1s, team training sessions, and feedback loops to help each SDR achieve their goals and grow professionally. Motivate team members through creative incentives and recognition programs.
  • Strategy & Execution 
    • Develop and execute sales development strategies that align with company objectives and market trends. 
    • Own and refine the SDR playbook, implementing new outreach strategies to improve efficiency, lead quality, and conversion rates. 
    • Set and monitor individual and team performance goals, KPIs, and activity metrics, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Pipeline Generation & Management 
    • Drive outbound and inbound prospecting efforts, ensuring a robust pipeline of qualified leads for Account Executives. 
    • Collaborate with sales leadership to target key accounts and optimize pipeline generation.
    • Actively pursue all avenues of lead generation, including cold calls, emails, social selling, and events. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 
    •  Work closely with Marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and lead handoff, optimizing the effectiveness of inbound leads. 
    • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Sales Operations to ensure alignment on strategy and execution. 
  •  Performance Management 
    • Track and report on weekly activities, pipeline metrics, and conversion rates. 
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. 
    • Implement and manage the future tool stack and processes to maximize SDR productivity. 
  • Continuous Improvement 
    • Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and market trends. 
    • Proactively identify opportunities to mature and evolve the SDR function for long-term growth. 

Our ideal candidate 
  • 3+ years of sales development or business development experience in SaaS or technology-related fields, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentorship role. 
  • Proven track record of exceeding SDR/BDR targets and building high-performing teams. 
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and developing SDR talent. 
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and outbound sales skills; consultative selling experience is a plus. 
  • Data-driven mindset; able to analyse performance data and make decisions that improve team results. 
  • Comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), sales automation platforms and AI tool stacks (e.g. Clay) 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English and German; other languages are a plus. 
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders. 
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting regional (cross-country) or global sales organizations. 
  • Familiarity with building and scaling SDR teams in high-growth environments. 
  • Experience with funnel management across multiple channels (inbound, upsell, outbound, marketing). 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for growth.
